1. Who We Are
hushClass is an AI-powered classroom intelligence platform developed by GOGIVER AI PVT LTD. We are committed to protecting the privacy of students, teachers, and school administrators who use our platform.
2. What Data We Collect
- Account data: Name, school email address, school name, and role (teacher, principal, student).
- Session data: Audio transcripts from classroom microphones (not raw audio), AI-generated questions, engagement scores, and session metadata.
- Behavioral data (with consent): Engagement and attention metrics derived from camera analysis. We store derived metrics (scores, flags), not raw video footage.
- Usage data: How users interact with the platform (page views, feature usage), used to improve the product.
3. Student Data & Parental Consent
For students under 18, parental or guardian consent is required before any identifiable data is collected. Schools act as data controllers and are responsible for obtaining and managing consent. We provide tools to:
- View all data collected for any individual student
- Export student data in machine-readable format
- Delete all data for a student immediately upon request
- Opt students out of camera-based analytics while retaining audio-only features
4. How We Use Data
We use collected data solely to provide the hushClass service: generating AI questions, computing engagement scores, and producing teacher debriefs. We do not sell data to third parties. We do not use student data for advertising.
5. Data Retention
Session transcripts and AI analysis are retained for 12 months by default. Schools can configure shorter retention periods. All data is permanently deleted within 30 days of account termination.
6. Security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Face embeddings, if used, are stored as mathematical vectors — not photographs — and are encrypted separately. Our infrastructure runs on Google Cloud Platform with SOC 2-compliant data centers.
7. Your Rights
Under GDPR, DPDP (India), and other applicable laws, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data. Contact us at privacy@hushclass.com to exercise these rights.
